These terms govern all use of Oppdrett.info (https://oppdrett.info), including free content, user accounts, the paid subscription and the API. By using the site or creating an account you accept these terms. How we handle personal data is described in the privacy policy.

1. Contracting party

The service is provided by Oppdrett.info. Questions about these terms can be sent to kontakt@oppdrett.info.

2. The service

Oppdrett.info compiles and presents data on Norwegian aquaculture: fish farms, sea-lice counts, diseases, wellboats, salmon prices, exports, companies and stocks. The data comes mainly from public sources such as the Norwegian Directorate of Fisheries, BarentsWatch, the Norwegian Food Safety Authority, Statistics Norway and stock exchange feeds. Some content is open to everyone, some requires a free account, and some requires a paid subscription or a separate business agreement.

3. User account

  • Sign-in is handled by Auth0 through an external identity provider. You are responsible for all activity under your sign-in.
  • The account is personal and may not be shared. Businesses may hold several accounts or enter into a separate agreement.
  • You must be at least 18 years old or act on behalf of a business.
  • We may close accounts that breach these terms or are misused.
  • 4. Subscription and payment

  • The subscription costs kr 995 per month or kr 9950 per year, excluding VAT. The current price is always shown on the pricing page.
  • Payment is by card through Stripe. The subscription renews automatically at the end of each period until you cancel.
  • You can cancel at any time from your profile page ("Manage subscription"). Cancellation takes effect at the end of the current paid period, and you keep access until then. Started periods are not refunded unless the law entitles you to a refund.
  • If a payment fails, Stripe retries for a period. If payment still fails, access to paid content ends.
  • Price changes are announced by e-mail at least 30 days in advance and apply from the next renewal.
  • Consumer right of withdrawal: the subscription gives immediate access to digital content. By purchasing you consent to delivery starting immediately and acknowledge that the right of withdrawal is thereby lost (Norwegian Cancellation Act section 22 (n)).
  • Business agreements (B2B / Enterprise) are governed by a separate contract which prevails over these terms in case of conflict.
  • 5. API

  • The API key is tied to your account and must not be shared or resold.
  • Usage is subject to the quotas of your plan. We may adjust quotas, endpoints and formats with reasonable notice.
  • Data retrieved through the API may be used internally in your business. Resale, redistribution or building competing services requires written agreement.
  • 6. Use of content and data

  • The content, compilations, forecasts and design on Oppdrett.info belong to Oppdrett.info or our sources and are protected by copyright and database rights.
  • You may use the content for your own information and internal business use, and quote it with attribution to Oppdrett.info.
  • You may not scrape, bulk-download, copy or republish substantial parts of the content, circumvent access restrictions, or load the service in a way that disrupts its operation.
  • 7. No warranty and no advice

  • Data is provided "as is". We work to keep it accurate and current but do not guarantee that it is complete, correct or available at all times. Sources may contain errors and delays.
  • Forecasts (for example sea-lice levels and treatment demand) are model-based estimates, not facts.
  • Information about stocks and companies is not investment advice. Decisions about buying, selling, operations or regulatory matters are your own responsibility and should be verified against primary sources.

8. Limitation of liability

To the extent permitted by law, our total liability to you is limited to the amount you have paid for the service in the last 12 months. We are not liable for indirect loss, lost profit, lost data or consequential damage. Nothing in these terms limits rights you have as a consumer under mandatory law.

9. Changes and termination

We may change the service and these terms. Material changes are announced on the site or by e-mail at least 30 days before they take effect. Continued use after that date counts as acceptance. If you disagree, you may cancel the subscription and delete your account. We may discontinue the service or parts of it with reasonable notice; prepaid, unused subscription time is then refunded.

10. Governing law and disputes

These terms are governed by Norwegian law. Disputes should first be resolved amicably; otherwise the Oslo District Court has jurisdiction, unless mandatory consumer law provides otherwise. Consumers may also complain to the Norwegian Consumer Authority or use the EU online dispute resolution platform.
